Local Girl Sets Great Example
Twelve-year-old Delaney Brumback delivered her fourth load of food and school supplies to PLM Families Together recently. She was only seven when she started this tradition. She makes a flyer asking for food and supplies for the families in the PLM Families Together program and then distributes to her neighbors. She shares information on what is needed and why and she lets people know when she’ll be back to pick up their donations. Then she goes back through the neighborhood and collects food, paper towels, soap, and more. Her mom helps her load the car and they head to the offices of PLMFT.
This year Delaney brought 330 pounds of food and supplies. She doesn’t do this for attention or publicity; she does it to make the holidays better for families working to return to independence. Here at PLMFT, we wanted others to know about this remarkable young lady, because she sets an example for all of us. WRAL was kind enough to share her story. CLICK HERE TO SEE DELANEY’S STORY
Thank you, Delaney, for your support!
